Summertime and the living's easy

Well its the end of a semester and summer vacation is here, which means finals are over and its 3 months until we see everyone again. The search begins for a summer job and all I want to do is rest. In a month I head to England to work on my study abroad credit and hope to spend most of it sketching. Hopefully john's got internet down in the south so he can do some posting over the summer. In the mean time heres some old movie monster playing cards I did for my final in illustration II. The Mummy, Dracula, Franky, The Wolfman, and the last one is the lovable Vincint Price in the last man on earth.

Hopefully get some other stuff done soon. Until then .... enjoy.

hey, what's up? it's john. so, kyle made this boss animation for his 2-D animation course. i hacked into his computer, uploaded it onto the internet, and now i am posting it here. I AM SO DANG SNEAKY. you should check it out. the walk cycle is pretty impressive, especially when you consider this was his first time to animate anything (besides this stop-motion experiment he did last summer).

the thing about taking a bunch of classes with your bf is that you both get hectic and angsty at the same time. kyle and i have 3 classes together this semester and we are both feeling the same amount of pressure as this year wraps up. also: WE NEED JOBS! bottom line is there might be some silence followed by some non-silence followed by a black-hole of silence. please bear with us. okay? thanks.

john spriggs here. it has been a while since we last spoke, but that is okay since nothing has happened. nothing except for this movie we filmed. riding a wave of inspiration, i "hung ten" and shot and edited this in one night. i will be honest with you: the shots are crap and the editing is horrible. oh well, i hope you enjoy this. i will be back soon, hopefully with more to say.
